Proper care will ensure your Hair Luxx extensions remain beautiful, soft, and long-lasting. Our hair is made from 100% human hair, and caring for it correctly will preserve its quality and longevity.

Washing Your Hair Extensions

We recommend washing your hair extensions at least twice a month, depending on usage.

Steps:

  • Gently detangle the hair using a wide-tooth comb or paddle brush
  • Use lukewarm water and a sulfate-free shampoo
  • Wash in a downward motion to avoid tangling
  • Apply a moisturizing conditioner, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends
  • Rinse thoroughly and gently squeeze out excess water

Avoid rubbing or twisting the hair while washing.

Drying

For best results:

  • Allow the hair to air dry naturally whenever possible
  • If using heat tools, apply a heat protectant beforehand
  • Use low to medium heat settings

Excessive heat can reduce the lifespan of the hair.

Brushing & Detangling

Always detangle hair from the ends upward toward the roots.

We recommend:

  • Wide-tooth comb
  • Paddle brush
  • Loop brush designed for extensions

Brush gently to prevent unnecessary shedding.

Sleeping With Extensions

To protect your hair while sleeping:

  • Tie hair into a loose braid, ponytail or use heatless curling rods for overnight curls
  • Use a silk or satin bonnet or pillowcase
  • Avoid sleeping with wet hair

These steps help prevent tangling and dryness.

Coloring & Bleaching

Our premium virgin collection, raw collection and Luxx collection can be colored or bleached, including lifting to 613 blonde, when done by a professional stylist. The virgin hair collection can be colored and bleached as well but not lift to 613.

However:

  • Excessive bleaching may affect hair integrity
  • Always perform a strand test first
  • Use professional-grade products

Hair Luxx is not responsible for damage caused by chemical processing.

Product Recommendations

For best results, use:

  • Sulfate-free shampoos
  • Moisturizing conditioners
  • Lightweight oils or serums
  • Heat protectant sprays

Avoid heavy products that may cause buildup.

Longevity

With proper care:

  • Raw Hair: can last many years
  • Premium Virgin Hair: can last up to 5 years
  • Virgin Hair: can last 12–24 months
